Good sandwiches with lots of meat, best in town

Reasonably priced, spacious lunch spot. Order at the counter, they give you a drink, and bring your basket of food to the table so you don't have to wait at the counter for it. That's nice. Nice menu with wide variety of fillings and breads. Chicken & tuna salad sandwiches - nice to see those on the menu. Very nice salads. Specials on the board to be read just before you order. Food is good, and a good value for the prices. Huge menu of choices.

You short an order...then make the comment "What do you want me to do about it".... So much for customer service...I will spend my money elsewhere.

The Sandwich Market is our favorite place to eat Sunday lunch. Be sure to get there early for the Sunday only special, smoked bbq chicken, pork, and beef brisket. Always cooked to perfection. They have great sandwiches also.

Beware don’t go the worst staff ever!!!!!! Never go there instead of recognizing their mistake they were so rude and mean to me!!! I ordered a sandwich waited 20 minutes for it finally went to counter to find out they had given to the wrong customer and there was only 3 of us in the store! Instead of apologizing when I asked how long it would be the woman replied she would just give me my money back I asked for her name she said what’s your name? I waited another 15 minutes for my sandwich never again!!!!!!! Don’t go beware!!!!!!

Great sandwiches and soups. A bag of chips come with your sandwich which is a plus...you only need to purchase a drink.

I've eaten at a number of Deli's, Sandwich Shops, Italian restaurants, ect... The Sandwich Market, was absolutely amazing. Nice, cozy little restaurant, fantastic food, decent prices. My sub was almost perfect! I couldn't ask for anything else. Great job.

It took me living in Elizabeth City for over year to finally find this place, which is really unfortunate because their food is amazing. The sandwiches are always fresh and delicious. The prices are reasonable and the atmosphere is great. Hopefully I'll make it in for one of their Sunday barbecue platters as I've heard great things about them to!

Incredible food! I've tried many of the things on their normal menu ~ and ~ the special Sunday menu - everything is consistently delicious! They have the best brisket!! The owners really care about their customers and it shows ♡

Another hidden gem in Elizabeth City. Plenty of parking very clean restaurant. The wait staff is friendly and efficient. The prices are moderate and the decor is a reflection of the roots of Elizabeth City.

First time going! New to the area as I was riding I said hey a sub shop so I stopped and wanted to try it out. The Entrance was nice and clean the environment was quiet and relaxing . The employees was Great, the cashier I didn’t get his name but he was so respectful and nice! I ordered a Dagwood sub, a garden salad and a half of a ham sandwich and oh my gosh it was delicious so Thanks😃 my family and I will definitely go back again!! I highly recommend 😊

The only place in this town that does a Ruben the right way. Just wish I could get a larger version, even at extra charge.

I have been going to the sandwich market for over 30 years and always had great subs and excellent customer service. Evidentially the original owners retired and is now in the hands of someone else. I bought a sub yesterday asked for lettuce tomato extra onions oil and vinegar and oregano. A gentleman took my order at the drive thru and was not friendly. When I got my sub another lady handed it to me and when I got it home my onions and oregano was not on my sub Customer service skills need improving and and the ham was not as good nor was it thinly sliced as in subs I bought in the past. Will not be going back anytime sooni.

Great local sandwich stop. We get Mac and cheese and Blondie's most Sundays and it never disappoints. There's almost always a line for pickup, but thats only because the food is so good.

The sandwich was great this was my second visit. But the customer service I received from Abby was HORRIBLE. She was so rude in the drive through. She gave me the nastiest look as if she didn't want to be at work. Then when it was time for her to give me my card and receipt she shoved it into my hand as hard as she could. I understand your busy and tired but good customer service goes a long way I will never give that place my money ever again. Abby definitely does NOT need to work with customers!!!

My boyfriend and I went there today for the first time, I had a turkey club, he had a turkey/ham club...I’ve tasted many clubs sandwiches, but this was the best club I’ve had in the 31 years I’ve been living!!! And the lady who took my order on the phone and the guy who rung me up and gave me my food was amazing 😍 will be going back every chance I get!!!!
